About Coby

I'm Coby Nile, i'm 17 and I live in Murrieta, Ca. I was Born in Portsmouth, Va and moved to Naples, Italy when I was 2 months. I spent 7 years living in Italy with my parents Christopher and Renee Nile, and my siblings Christopher Jr., Rhyan, and Caius Nile. I grew up indulging in many different and various aspects of life, such as : music, movies, pop culture, etc. I pride myself in my openness to new things, I listen to all genres of music from Country-Rap, movies from Sci-fi - comedy, pop culture from sports-politics. I'm a cultural cocktail that spans 3 continents, African American, Native American, Irish, Italian, and English. growing up I experienced many hardships, from moving due to Military, to poverty, and even homelessness, but through God I am blessed every single day to be alive. I don't always have the things I want but God has given me Everything I need. I always dreamed of playing professional sports, even as a little kid. My family has always had a natural gift for sports seeing as my siblings and I have all excelled in our respective aspects. Me and my older brother Winning CIF championships in Football, my sister a CIF defensive player of the year in Basketball, and my younger brother a California State champion in Basketball. This special gift passed down by my father, a 5-sport HS athlete, is one that has prevailed above all odds. I also pride myself in knowledge, not just of the present, but of the past, and future. The past does not define or constrain us, but what we choose to do with our present will shape our future.

Coby's Plans after Graduation

I have been blessed with the ability to play Division 1 football next year at Morgan State University, being a Black man it is a very prestigious and incredible honor to attend an HBCU. I look forward to a great education Studying in Civil Engineering and business management. As I look back on my HS journey, I am thankful, for the good, the bad, and everything in between. Those are the stepping stones that shaped me into the man i am today. Once I begin college I don't plan on looking back, I do however realize and remember my past experiences, in hopes to prevent myself from making the same mistakes again. "those that do not learn history are doomed to repeat it"- George Santayana, words to live by as I continue to my adventure into the real world.
